Mayor Vincent Gray asks former Mayor Sharon Pratt to serve as the Honorary Chair of the XIX International AIDS Conference, July, 2012, in Washington, D.C.

 

Former Mayor Sharon Pratt awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree from Cambridge College in Massachusetts at the 2011 Commencement program

"Ms. Pratt, a former Mayor of Washington, D.C. and former vice-president of public policy with PEPCO (Potomac Electric Power Company) said Bermuda is thouroughly dependent on foreign fossil fuels and not only does that affect and affordability, it could also affect reliability."

"The Energy Commission is springing to life to regulate pricing and licensing, and the general rule is to ensure sustainability, reliability and affordability" saida Ms. Pratt.

On May 12, 2010, former Mayor Sharon testifies before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform in support of H.R.4869, the Gender Parity in Federal Buildings Act.

Ms Pratt stated that "as a Washington, D.C. woman resident, the former Mayor of this city, as a mother who reared two daughters in this city and a grandmother of a granddaughter, that the disparity in restrooms is glaring, inconvenient, enormously inefficient and downright unfair."
